Working with sports recruited students is a special talent Kate has, knowing all the ins and outs of college sports admissions. Expert Standardized Exam Preparation
We are an expert, two person team teaching the English and Quantitative sections of the standardized college entrance exams: SAT and ACT. Kate has a fifteen year track record helping students raise their SAT and ACT scores by more than 100 and 10 points (respectively) through one on one instruction and drills using official College Board and ACT exams. Our math exam expert Arjun holds a degree in mechanical engineering, scored an 800 on the SAT math section, and has an excellent track record of helping students increase their math scores substantially.
Kate also preps for the GRE, IETLS, PSAT, SSAT.
English Language Arts Instruction
Kate's original passion is reading, writing, and teaching English literature to students of all ages from all over the world. Strengthening skills in the English language arts from a young age is the determining factor for results on standardized exams. It makes students stronger thinkers, better speakers, and more effective learners. Adults and kids alike who need to learn English as their second language make great strides learning English with Kate. Students from China ace their national exams and win debates, as students from Europe and India increase their fluency and knowledge through the use of high quality literature.

Students getting ready to graduate college, or recently graduated, often face a world of reality in the

Kate understands the process. She stressed how important it was to get essays started early. The best advice! My son had quite a few supplemental essays to write come August. Starting early with his personal statement boosted my son’s confidence. He didn’t have to rush and take shortcuts when writing and re-writing his drafts.
